چکیده

The introduction of chlorine atoms into organic molecules is fundamental to the manufacture industrial chemicals, elaboration advanced synthetic intermediates and also fine-tuning physicochemical biological properties drugs, agrochemicals polymers. We report here a general practical photochemical strategy enabling site-selective chlorination sp3 C?H bonds. This process exploits ability protonated N-chloroamines serve as aminium radical precursors chlorinating agents. Upon initiation, an efficient radical-chain propagation established allowing functionalization broad range substrates due large number compatible functionalities. synergistically maximize both polar steric effects in H-atom transfer transition state through appropriate selection has provided highest known selectivity chlorination.
